HB 59/FN (BR 160) - M. Cherry, B. Colter, J. Comer, T. Riner
AN ACT relating to Kentucky educational excellence scholarship awards.
Amend KRS 164.7879 to permit a student who is a Kentucky resident but attends high school out-of-state while his or her parent or guardian is serving in the United States military service to qualify for Kentucky educational excellence scholarship awards.
HB 59 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions, except to require the student, parent, or guardian to request the out-of-state institution to report on an official transcript the grade point average of the student; require the Council on Postsecondary Education to promulgate an administrative regulation to implement the provisions of the Act.
HFA (1, R. Damron) - Add a section to amend KRS 164.7881 to add the pharmacy at the University of Kentucky as an eligible program under KEES.
HFA (2, M. Cherry) - Change "maintains Kentucky residency" to "maintains Kentucky as his or her home of record".
SFA (1, L. Casebier) - Amend procedures for applying for scholarship awards to make them more specific.
